A 5mm round cut Peridot in a four claw setting with a delicately textured band. Each piece is carefully handmade to order and holds its own individual textures. No two rings are the same.
Peridot is assigned to the birth month of August and the zodiac sign Leo. Leo is associated with the Greek god Zeus. Zeus is god of the sky and father of all gods and humans. He is often depicted wielding lightning.
Considered one of the world’s oldest gemstones, peridot was recorded as early as 146BC. Records indicate that the first stones were found on Topazo Island in the Egyptian Red Sea. A shipwrecked crew dug into the ground in search of food and stumbled across the brilliant green gemstone. Peridot is one of only two gems to be formed deep inside the earths molten rock.
