Adesh & Ivete
How did you first meet?
Adesh - We met at work. I admit that I liked her before she liked me. We didn’t work with each other for long as I went back to college (only a 30 minute drive) we talked a lot on the phone and always tried to make the time for each other. That ultimately grew as we got closer. It's great to know that even after all these years of knowing each other and even after how much we changed, we still choose each other.
What tv show/podcast are you currently binging together?
Adesh - I’m embarrassed to admit this, but my fiancée introduced me to the world of Gilmore Girls! We love watching that in the mornings, and we always try to keep up with some reality TV shows, such as Survivor, Love is Blind, or whatever is dramatic haha.
What does this design say about your partner?
Adesh - This design best represents our love for each other. I love symbolism, and I wanted this ring to reflect that. The diamond in the center symbolizes our love, respect, and care. It’s the core of our relationship and what makes it work. We build on that foundation, making it stronger and more visible, even as we face the peaks and valleys of life. While our relationship isn’t perfect, the imperfections make us stronger, and this ring encapsulates all of that—it describes our love perfectly.
When did you decide you wanted to marry this person?
Adesh - I really knew I wanted to marry this person 3 years in, but I knew the right thing was to wait for us to be ready. Ready can mean a lot of different things, but having our relationship last into Covid and dealing with the up and downs of life, but it was those times that our love was strong and supported. It was always those memories I fall back on that made me know that I did want to marry this person and happy I did.
Ivete - There are so many things about Adesh that made me decide that he is the one: his great care with me and our dogs, his consistent love and presence, the way he makes me feel safe and at peace, and the list goes on. However, the greatest indicator was that the thought of not having him around fills me with sadness. It's the realization that life without Adesh would be dull and not as exciting and beautiful as when he is in it.
How did you choose your bespoke design for your partner?
Adesh - We talked about getting married and with that comes the question of rings. Ivete started looking for some rings online and came across the concept of handmade organic-looking rings. When she first showed it to me, she mentioned how much she loved it because of the uniqueness of the design, and how something "imperfect" can be beautiful when crafted with love.
