TERMS OF SALE FOR LISTED ITEMS
By purchasing our products you are agreeing to our terms of sale.
Please note that as every item is handmade it will not exactly replicate the item displayed on our website. Stones will naturally vary in colour and size. Your piece will have its own unique characteristics and although equally as beautiful, may vary slightly from the photograph shown.

WARRANTY
Metals and Gemstones
We have confidence in the quality of our materials. If, while very unlikely, the metal should become cracked within the first year of receiving your piece, we will replace or refund the item. If the gemstone becomes loose from its setting within the first year, we offer complimentary resetting. Replacement or refund will be issued under the discretion of ‘The Line of Sun’.

TIME FRAME & TURNAROUND
While we try our absolute best to work to deadlines you may provide, we cannot guarantee an exact time frame for when your piece will be ready to dispatch. We often suggest it takes between 3-6 weeks after the deposit has been paid to complete a piece. This time frame is a best estimate and not a guarantee. There are various steps that go into creating a piece, such as, but not limited to, third party stone purchasing and metal casting. We are not liable for any unforeseeable third party issues that may extend the time frame in which we are able to dispatch an item. By paying a deposit and agreeing to go ahead with a piece and understand that we cannot guarantee an exact time frame for you. We suggest beginning the bespoke well ahead of your deadline.

SHIPPING
If the items should unfortunately become lost, damaged or delayed during the shipping process, we take no liability as these circumstances are beyond our control.
Shipping options for insurance & signature on delivery are provided at checkout.
Every item will be provided with a tracking number which will be emailed to you from AusPost.
If the parcel does become lost, delayed or damaged, please contact the postal service immediately. You can contact us regarding the issue where appropriate.

SIZING & STYLE
It is your responsibility to correctly select your size and style. We do not offer refunds if you change your mind about a style or if you have incorrectly selected your ring size. We do offer a re-sizing service for an additional $80 plus post. In some circumstances, such as if the resize is drastic, we may be unable to resize your piece as it may cause the ring to become distorted or damage the gemstone.

If you are unsure of your ring size please get in touch and we can send you out a ring sizer. Alternatively you can visit a local jeweler to get your correct sizing, or download a ring sizing app on your phone.

SALES, VOUCHERS & DISCOUNT CODES
Discount codes may only be used on non-sale items. Sale items are to be purchased through the website only. No items purchased before or after this time will be eligible for the sale price.

THIRD PARTY RIGHTS
This contract is between yourself and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of these terms.

CHANGES OF THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Please review our Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes that have been made.

TERMS OF SALE FOR BESPOKE PIECES
There are four stages of the bespoke service, at each stage you enter into an agreement with us.

Stage 1. The initial consultation and discussion period
During this stage we offer complimentary discussion of your design (either by email, phone or in person), We will provide four sketches if required, and a selection of four gemstones.

If you require additional gemstone selections or sketches we take a $150 deposit for every following four options. Once the deposit has been received we will begin sourcing options for you. This amount will be deducted from the final price of your item.

NOTE: We do not keep a large amount of gemstones in house. Oftentimes, the gemstones we will send as part of your selection are not yet purchased. We will hold your gemstone selections for you for seven days, from then we cannot guarantee our ability to secure your selected stones. Therefore we recommend making your decision in no more than 7 days to ensure your best chances of securing your stones.

Stage 2. Finalizing Design & Materials + Item Deposit
Once you have finalized your design, materials and chosen your gemstone/s, we will issue you an invoice. You will be asked to pay a 50% deposit of the total amount.

We will not be able to purchase your gemstone or begin crafting your ring until the deposit has been paid. To ensure your best chances of securing your gemstone we recommend paying your deposit promptly.

Stage 3. Final details & Casting
Once we have crafted your ring we will send you images and/or videos of the wax carving. From here you can make any edits of the final design. Once you are happy with the design we will send it off to be cast into metal. If you would like to see the wax carving in person and/or try it on, you are welcome to visit our studio before making your final decision with the design.

By stating that you are happy with the wax carving and giving us the go ahead to have the design cast in metal, you relinquish any ability to either return or refund your piece on the premise of not liking the design.

Stage 4. Full Payment & Dispatch Once the ring is cast in metal and all finishing touches have been made, we will notify you to pay the remaining 50% to receive your deposit. You can either pick the item up from our studio or request shipment.

PROVIDED GEMSTONES
Within our Bespoke service we offer an option of providing your own gemstones. While we take the best care possible with gemstones you may provide, there is a very small chance they may become damaged in this process. If this is to happen we are unable to replace these items or offer any financial compensation. By handing over your gemstones to us, you incur any risk involved with any possible damage of your gemstones.

RETURNS & REFUNDS
Earrings – we cannot exchange any earrings due to hygiene reasons

Craftsmanship
If your piece should for some reason come apart where craft is concerned, (including, but not limited to, a clasp or a stone becoming loose) within a year of purchase, we will assess the damage and either replace or refund the item. Assessment of damage and decision to issue a refund or replacement item will be issued under the discretion of ‘The Line of Sun’.

Design
By stating that you are happy with the wax carving and giving us the go ahead to have the design cast in metal, you relinquish any ability to either return or refund your piece on the premise of not liking the designs
Deposit refund
i) Gemstone selection deposit
If you decide not to go ahead with your piece after receiving additional gemstone selections, you are unable to have your deposit returned to you.
ii) 50% deposit of total price
Once we have purchased your gemstone we are unable to return your deposit. You can however, keep your purchased stone and reassign your deposit money to a new design.

We will not replace or refund an item if:
– There has been an attempt to modify or repair the piece by a third party
– You change your mind about a piece
– Wear or damage that is found to not be at fault of the craft or material but instead poor care,
including, but not limited to, tangled, crushed, scratched or tarnished items.
NOTE: It is your responsibility to care for your jewellery once received.
